D. Superintendent Report
§ A salary consulting agency will come in to look at our salaries and compare them to the number of employees we have; neighboring districts and districts of the same size, to make sure we have equitable salaries across all positions.
§ A Charter Accountability Committee has been formed to look at the finances, academics, and operations.
§ The State Wide Monitoring found no compliance issues in several areas: C-Cap B3, Career and Technical Education, Comprehensive Literacy State Development, Direct Student Services, Our Cares Act Funding, Individual Disability Act, and LA 4 Program.
§ An Employee Advisory Council is being formed.
§ 161 students are participating in the Friday tutoring: Byrd Avenue - 36, Central Elementary - 54, and Bogalusa High School - 71.
§ The new board system (Simbli) is now on Bogalusa City Schools website
§ The JROTC Ball is on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. Please come out to support our students. The CapitalOne Financial Literacy Sessions was today with high school seniors.
§ ACT Boot Camp at high school.
§ Extracurricular school activity expenses.
E. New Business - Approve Committee Reports
1. Approve Finance, Student Services & Technology Committee Reports as a whole - February 29, 2024
Paul Kates restated the agenda items for approval:
1. Receive and consider approval of June 2023 Audit Report
2. Receive and consider approval of Online School Payments (OSP) by edlio to contract for payment of online payments system for the school district
3. Receive and consider approval of January 2024, Revised Budgets and Financial Statements: General Fund, Food Service, Special Revenue, and School Activities
4. Receive and consider approval for JROTC to travel to the JROTC Raider Challenge at Petal High School in Lucedale, MS, on April 20, 2024
5. Receive and consider approval of the Bogalusa City Schools 2024-2025 Calendar
6. Receive and consider approval for the Bogalusa City School District Differentiated Compensation Allocation Pay Fund Plan 2023-2024
7. Receive and consider approval of bid for E-Rate 2024-25 Category 2

Dana Walker thanked Superintendent Dr. Hurst for being involved with the students at the schools. She also let the public know that Brilliant Mindz and ADAPT services are open to children in the school system.
