7. Superintendent Report – Dr. Byron Hurst. Greaux Jobs will employ two of the Bogalusa City Schools’ students, who have met specific qualifications to work during the games and at the central office. This will be a great experience for the students.
I met with a representative from Our Lady of the Angles Hospital. During my meeting with her, she informed me they would like to partner with the Bogalusa City Schools to get the students involved in all jobs related to the medical field.
I also met with a representative from International Paper and learned they offer grants to schools outside the Millworks Program. I contacted the principal at the high school to have him apply for the grants so we could get the students involved in the training.
Currently..., I am working on a strategic plan for the Bogalusa City Schools. We need a viable strategic plan to know where we are going. All stakeholders will help build this plan to prioritize our mission and goal to set an insight into how we will increase our academic achievement for our students.
