The Bogalusa School Board met in a Regular Board Meeting at the Bogalusa City School Board Office Media Center, located at 1705 Sullivan Drive, Bogalusa, Louisiana, on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 beginning at 5:30 P.M. The purpose of the meeting is to address information received from Department Supervisors, on Monday, June 13, 2016, during the Committee Meeting, regarding updates and approval requests.

4.) Approval of Minutes of Regular Board Meeting May 25, 2016. It was motioned by Reverend Mims. A second was made by Mrs. Duke. The motion passed with unanimous approval.

5.)  Board Officers and Committee Reports

a.       Mileage Adoption will be presented at the July 28, 2016 Board Meeting (Deloris Walker)

6.)  Recess To Public Session

a.       Kenneth Martin, 2624 S. Columbia, Bogalusa, LA  70427 (Coaches Stipend vs. Summer School external pay)

7.)  New Business

a.        Approval of Financial Statements and Revised Budgets, May, 2016: General Fund, Food Service, Special Revenue and School Activities (Deloris Walker) It was motioned by Reverend Mims. A second was made by Mrs. Duke.  The motion passed with unanimous approval.

b.      Approval of Resolutionauthorizing the Bogalusa City Schools with Washington Parish Government Cooperative Agreement with Louisiana Governor’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) FEMA funds. (Deloris Walker) It was motioned by Reverend Mims. A second was made by Mrs. Duke.  The motion passed with unanimous approval.

c.       Approval for Bogalusa High School Cheerleaders (9^th – 12^th) to attend summer camp in Gulf Shores, Alabama departing 7:00 a.m. July 24, 2016 and returning July 27, 2016 (Leslie Raborn) It was motioned by Mrs. Duke. A second was made by Reverend Mims.  The motion passed with unanimous approval.

a.     Calvin Hymel stated he felt that everybody needed to do their jobs and he felt the Summer School program and Summer Athletic Programs were being taken advantage of and he wanted it to stop.  He was very unfavorable to Coach Kenneth Martins remarks regarding the BHS Athletic Department
